IT is a bit early in the season to be talking about crucial games, but Guiseley Vixens and Bradford City will doubtless be keeping a close watch on each other’s results tomorrow in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division.

Guiseley are still without a league win since their promotion, although they did pick up a welcome point from a 2-2 draw with fellow strugglers Wolves in their last outing.

Tomorrow they go to champions Blackburn Rovers, but Bradford City will not want to see any team getting too far ahead if they are to recover from their indifferent start and mount a title challenge themselves.

A Guiseley win would be a boost for City if they can beat Derby at home.

The point at home to Wolves moved Guiseley into second-bottom spot, but third-bottom Derby are still three points ahead of them after they drew at home to Leicester City.

Against Wolves a third minute goal hit Guiseley hard, but the introduction of substitute Nikki Berko on the hour turned the game in their favour.

Two goals from Berko left them ahead with 14 minutes to go but the visitors hit back soon after to force a draw.

In Division One North, Brighouse Town entertain pointless Mossley Hill Athletic tomorrow hoping to maintain their promotion push.

Two goals from Emma Dobson and one from Aimee Beresford earned a 3-0 win at Barnsley in their last game and left them in third place – a point behind Hull City and level with Liverpool Marshalls Feds.

Farsley Celtic opened their North East Regional League Premier Division campaign with a 3-2 win at Castleford White Rose thanks to goals from Jordan Cheetham, Megan Dunlop and Demi Godson. Tomorrow, Celtic are at home to a Durham Cestria side with two wins out of two.

It is League Cup day in the West Riding Women’s County League.

Premier Division Bradford Park Avenue return to action with a visit from First Division Clifton Rangers while Brighouse Athletic face Third Division newcomers Phoenix and Silsden are at home to Yorkshire Amateurs in an all-Premier clash.

Amongst the other ties, unbeaten Third Division side Thackley face a tough tie at Premier Division Wetherby Athletic while Tyersal hope to extend their unbeaten league start at Durkar.

In their last game, four goals from Abi Tate earned Tyersal a 7-3 win over New Farnley.
