FC HALIFAX Town have made their third signing of the summer.

AFC Fylde midfielder Bohan Dixon has joined the Shaymen on a one-year deal.

The 27-year-old Dixon scored against Halifax in their 3-2 win last August on their way to winning Vanarama National League North.

The Liverpool-born midfielder, who has also played for Stalybridge Celtic, Salford City, Lincoln City and Accrington Stanley, has joined Sam Johnson and Martin Riley in signing for the Shaymen.

The club have also agreed new contracts with midfielder David Lynch and defender Ross Barrows.

Lynch, who was the kingpin of the Shaymen's midfield during their promotion push, has agreed a one-year extension to his stay at the club. Signed from Altrincham in September 2016, he was a key part of the side that earned a place in the National League.

Meanwhile, youngster Barrows has also penned a new one-year deal at the club.

The 19-year-old made his debut in the Shaymen's FA Cup second round defeat at Eastleigh and has impressed in the under-19s line-up.

Halifax begin their 2017/18 pre-season with a home tie against League One side Rochdale on Tuesday, July 18.
