WITH seven goals in her last six games, striker Laura Elford believes Bradford City Women's recent focus on attacking is paying dividends on a match day.

The Bantams conclude their FA Women's Premier League season when they visit Leicester City tomorrow.

With a County Cup final to look forward to later this month, Elford admits there is a feel good factor in the way Bradford are currently playing.

"Obviously it feels good to be getting on the scoresheet," she said.

"We've been working on a lot of phases of play and attacking drills in training and I think that helps the whole team to be more positive and direct in attack, including me.

"The confidence has been hit and miss through the season as we've had some good performances without the result.

"Now we've not got as much pressure on us, we're really coming together as a team and playing how we know we can."

The reverse fixture against Leicester saw the Bantams emerge comfortable 4-1 winners – but Elford knows the Foxes will not be easy to beat this weekend.

"I think they will come out and attack us straight away and defend tightly, if not with one on one marking through the game," she said.

"We will just have to be patient with our build-up play and keep the defence tight, something we've been better at recently.

"It's the final game of the season and both teams will be really up for it – but obviously we don't want to come away with anything less than three points."

Leicester can still finish as high as third in the Northern Division, so will be no easy opponent. But Bradford will not want to pass up the opportunity to take a win into their cup final.
