BRADFORD rivals Palestino and Athletico meet in two crunch clashes in the space of three days.

On Thursday night, they have a Spen Valley Trophy semi-final at Overthorpe Sports Club, while on Saturday they meet at Peel Park with the Spen Valley League Premier Division title up for grabs.

Only a win for visitors Athletico will be good enough, however, as Palestino lead the table by two points.

Athletico warmed up for these mega matches with a 7-4 home victory over Dewsbury West Side.

Shamraz Hussain and Quendrim Emini both bagged hat-tricks, with Paul Hague completing the tally, while James Heeley netted all four in reply.

Unbeaten Division One champions George Healey made it 15 wins out of 17 with a 7-3 victory at Howden Clough.

Luke Newsome (2), Simon Moore, Ash Parkinson, Olly Mitchell, Reece Scholes and Matty Parkinson were on target for the front-runners, with Corey Starkey (2) and an own goal replying.

Marsh moved ahead of visitors Dewsbury West Side Reserves into fifth by defeating them 6-4, goals for the hosts coming from Nathan Clarke (3), Spencer Balmforth, Jordan Wilkinson and Jonny Asquith, with Arfan Ali, Mohammed Ibrahim, Arsalan Shahid and Haseeb Shahid on target for the second string.
