DRIGHLINGTON are through to the final of the Heavy Woollen & District FA's Wheatley Cup final.

The Championship Division winners in the Yorkshire Amateur League defeated Hartshead, who have been promoted from Division One of the West Yorkshire League, 9-8 on penalties at Ossett Albion after the sides had drawn 2-2 in normal time.

Drighlington led 2-0 at half-time, with Johnny Kitchen and Shane Sowden on target, but were pegged back in the second half after James Bradd was sent off.

Littletown will be Drighlington's opponents in the final at Ossett Town on Thursday, May 4 (7.30pm).
