PALESTINO could win the Spen Valley League title despite being docked three Premier Division points.

They are battling for the silverware with Bradford rivals Athletico.

Palestino overcame a potentially difficult game at third-placed Dewsbury West Side, winning 4-3.

Danny Williams, Mohammed Zubair Khan, Jamie Chadwick and Sanullah Nasrat were on target for the visitors, with Chris Wilcock, Saif Akbar and Atif Basharat replying for the hosts, who have also been docked three points.

Athletico also won in a tight game away from home, beating Savile United 3-2 courtesy of efforts by Shuaib Yasin, Raj Mohammed and an own goal, with Ismail Patel and Faisal Adam on target in response.

Only one match was played in Division One and again it was well contested, with Savile Town drawing 3-3 at home to Marsh.

Waqar Bashir, Sajeel Qadir and Noman Hussain netted for Town, with Jack Bourke (2) and Andy Smith the Marsh marksmen.
