THACKLEY Under-19s won 3-2 in their Northern Alliance League match at AFC Emley.

The Dennyboys youngsters produced a brilliant performance at a windswept venue to record their first away victory of the season.

Thackley equalised via Joe Storey and a Callum Brewster near-post header before Tom Storey's mazy run and cross gave his brother Joe the chance to score the winner.

However, Thackley goalkeeper Harrison Bywater deserved some credit for making some fine point-blank saves.

Brighouse Reserves travelled to RIASA East in the Lancashire League and came away with an 8-2 victory.

Ash Muncaster was brought down in the penalty area but stepped up to convert the spot-kick for Brighouse and the same player put Brighouse 2-0 ahead before half-time.

In the second half, the visitors went 6-0 in front before RIASA hit back to score twice, with Town completing the scoring with two further goals.

The other Brighouse goals were scored by Jack Harrison (4), Lamin Janneh and Evan Robinson.

The Thackley Reserves v Silsden Reserves match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
