GIRLINGTON are off the bottom of the Spen Valley League Premier Division table.
Their 8-2 home win over third-placed Savile Youth was only their third maximum of the season and lifted them above both Athletico and Savile United.
Mohammed Qasim and Adeeb Jawad both netted hat-tricks for Girlington. whose tally was completed by Adil Tanvur and an own goal.
Premier Division leaders Palestino were in Spen Valley Memorial Trophy action and won 5-0 at Howden Clough, with Awaab Ahmed helping himself to a brace.
