THE sprint for the Premier Division title looks like being a two-horse race in the Spen Valley League.

Unbeaten leaders Palestino and second-placed Dewsbury West Side both notched 4-1 away victories to cement their positions.

Man of the match Abdul Khan scored twice for Palestino at third-placed Savile Youth, with James Chadwick and Sana Ullah Nasrat also netting, while an own goal was the sole reply.

Atif Patel's brace led the way for West Side, who are a point behind having played two games more, with Danish Ali and Saif Akbar also on target in the triumph at fourth-placed Savile United, for whom Adam Munshi responded.

George Healey, who seem nailed on for promotion from Division One, won 11-2 at Dewsbury West Side Reserves.

Luke Newsome (5) and Lewis Boddy (4) dominated the scoring, with Simon Moore and Matthew Parkinson making up the tally, as Usman Hussain and Arbaaz Khan replied.

Eight points behind George Healey, having played two games more, are Inter Batley, who only defeated fifth-placed Savile Town 3-2.

Awaab Ahmed, Ebrahim Ekalwaya and Mohammed Navsarka were on target for Inter, with Sajeel Qadir and Junaid Khan netting for Town.

Both Norfolk and Marsh could overtake Inter Batley for second place – and hosts Norfolk defeated cellar dwellers Howden Clough 6-3 thanks to goals from Huzaifah Lunat (3), Ismail Loonat (2) and Saad Daji, with Joe Hampshaw (2) and Phil Crossland hitting the Clough efforts.
