HOW do you follow up an 8-0 win? That is the challenge for Bradford City Women tomorrow.

The Bantams were excellent as they opened their County Cup defence with victory at Ossett Albion last week but Stoke away in the FA Women's Premier League will present a significantly bigger challenge.

"It's going to be a tough game but we are looking forward to getting back to league action," said player-manager Charlotte Stuart.

She and fellow player-coach Faye Boshell watched from the dugout last time out and both will be among several options that could further strengthen that dominant side in tomorrow's Northern Division clash.

Charlotte Oates will return in goal after back-up stopper Katie Bailey's outing at Ossett, while Shauna Legge is also likely to be recalled after a rest.

Lucy Sowerby will be unavailable after being carried off in the first half last Sunday.

As Sowerby faces over a month out with ankle ligament damage, Laura Elford's return from suspension could not be more timely.

The striker will slot into City's front three, which also contains last week's six-goal star Hannah Campbell.

Only goal difference puts City above Stoke in the current standings, with the midlands outfit having a game in hand over their visitors and having won their last three.

But Bradford can be unbeatable if they are on song, as their 5-1 win in the reverse fixture against Stoke showed.

Off the back of such a big win last week, it is no surprise to hear Stuart describe high spirits in the camp as she said: "We are going into the game happy and with a positive attitude."

Yet there will be no complacency and the City player-boss insists her team are ready to do the double over the Potters.

Stuart said: "Stoke are a strong team and it will be a physical game – but we've prepared well, trained well and worked on our game plan this week. We are all up for it."
