GUISELEY Vixens and Brighouse Town take a break from FA Women's Premier League action tomorrow as they play FA Women's Cup fourth qualifying-round ties at home to Nettleham and Blackpool Wren Rovers respectively.

While unbeaten Guiseley sit top of Division One in the league's Northern Section, they will be wary of a banana skin when their Lincolnshire opponents arrive at Nethermoor as the East Midlands Premier League side look to complete a giant-killing.

With the added incentive of £600 prize money for the winners at this stage of the competition, no opponent can be taken lightly regardless of their status.

A 5-1 win at Leeds Ladies in their last game, with goals from Elizabeth White, Olivia Thackray, Alarna Fuller, Sarah Danby and Liv Dacosta, sees Vixens full of confidence for the tie – but Brighouse are understandably more circumspect ahead of theirs.

Although Town earned a welcome point when a goal from Charlotte Proud secured a 1-1 draw at Morecambe in their last game, Wren Rovers are currently five points and three places ahead of them in the Division One North table and the promoted Brighouse outfit still have just one win to their name this term.

In the Premier League's Northern Reserve Division, tomorrow's games see Bradford City – who lost 2-0 at Blackburn last week – entertain leaders Fylde.

Brighouse Town, 6-3 winners over Middlesbrough thanks largely to a Melissa Griffiths hat-trick, travel to face a Newcastle side who inflicted a first defeat on Fylde last week.

The other game involving our district is the clash between Guiseley Vixens, who lost 3-0 at Huddersfield Town, and visiting Middlesbrough.

It looks like being another tough campaign for Bradford Park Avenue as they bid to hold on to Premier Division status in the West Riding County League.

A crushing 7-1 defeat at Silsden in their last outing was hardly the best preparation for a visit to promotion-chasing Leeds Medics & Dentists tomorrow.

A goal from Sarah Huby was Avenue's only reward at Silsden as the home took a 3-0 half-time lead and ran in four more after the break, with Harriet Persson-Brewer (2), Jess Buck (2), Izzy DiFranco, Megan Robson Owens and Hollie Kirtley all scoring.

This week Silsden go to leaders Tingley Athletic and third-placed Brighouse Athletic are at home to Hemsworth in the Premier Division.

First Division bottom club Bradford City A are at home to Tingley Reserves and Brighouse Town Development host Republica Internationale.
