BRADFORD will play its part in a new community six-a-side football league that starts next month.

Run by Leisure Leagues – Europe's largest provider of small-sided soccer – it will kick-off on November 20 at the

University of Bradford (7pm-9pm), and will be held there on successive Sundays.

Games cost £26 but there will be free entry to the league for a limited time, and teams will be given a free Nike ball – as used in last season's Premier League.

Teams will be competing for a range of top prizes, including huge custom-made trophies, medals and champagne, all in the coveted Leisure Leagues' prize box.

A fun, but competitive game is assured, and profits from the league will be donated to charity, for which Leisure Leagues have been praised by, among others, former Prime Minister David Cameron and Prince Charles.

All standards are catered for, and new business manager Dave Perkins said: "Whether you fancy yourself as the next Lionel Messi or you are an honest trier who loves the game, then we can find room for you here!

"We have been running leagues for 30 years and we are confident that we can give the same enjoyment to the community of Bradford that we have already in so many other places."

Qualified referees will be in charge, backed up by a strong disciplinary code to ensure that the games are competitive and fun.
