FIELD remain third in the Premier Division despite losing 1-0 against Robin Hood Athletic in their West Yorkshire League clash.
Robin Hood scored the all-important goal in the 25th minute, although John Penn hit the post for Field with a 25-yard strike.
Athletic had a chance to make the score 2-0 late in the game but Field goalkeeper Tom Metcalfe tipped an angled shot onto the crossbar.
Field assistant manager Barry Dunne admitted: "We played well in patches but couldn't break them down."
Field Reserves climbed to fourth place in the Alliance Division One table following a 9-2 thrashing of Brighouse Old Boys Reserves.
Glyn Hirst and Liam Lambert led the way as both scored hat-tricks, with Ben Baker scoring twice before being sent off for receiving two yellow cards. Substitute Adam Sharkey completed the rout.
