THACKLEY Reserves earned the bragging rights with a 2-1 win against local rivals Liversedge Reserves in the Lancashire League.
Krishan Patel edged Thackley in front after only eight minutes and goalkeeper Luke Wilson made some important saves to deny Sedge an equaliser.
Thackley moved further ahead after 53 minutes when Patel got his second goal, this time from the penalty spot after a team-mate was upended in the box.
Liversedge finally got on the scoresheet when Kenny Tafireyi netted but Thackley held out to record their third win of the season.
Meanwhile, Thackley's under-19s suffered a heavy 7-1 defeat at Ossett Town in the Northern Alliance League.
Callum Brewster scored Thackley's consolation goal against the league leaders.
Thackley joint-manager Mark Bywater said: "It was another tough night for our team, which was made up of mostly young 16 and 17-year-old players."
Bradford Park Avenue under-19s were thrashed 15-2 at Ossett Albion in the same competition.
