DRIGHLINGTON hammered Golcar United 6-2 in the WRCFA Challenge Cup courtesy of an outstanding attacking display.

Shane Sowden (three), Mikey Durham, Brett Thompson and Joe Hirst were the scorers and Drig face near neighbours Gildersome Spurs OB in the next round.

Grangefield OB thumped Rothwell 7-1 with goals from Andy Kenyon (two), Matt Tomlinson (two), Grant Jackson, Kristian Dacre and substitute Kev Green.

Bedes scored first through Brandon Hammond and shortly after doubled their lead with a 25-yard Chris Drake thunderbolt.

After the break both sides netted early into the second half with Stephen Drake bagging the third goal for Bedes.

Stephen Drake and Nathan Speight made the game safe at 5-1.

Recent signing, youngster Tawheed Ahmed, was man of the match.

Bramhope 4 Grangefield OB Reserves won 6-4 at Bramhope with an own-goal and further efforts from Rees O'Hare, Kev Brown (two), Tom Hall, Tom Needham.
