BRADFORD City will be desperately keen to kick start their FA Women's Premier League, Northern Division season when they meet Stoke City at Eccleshill United tomorrow.

In their last outing, their third game in eight days, they were beaten 4-0 by an undefeated Blackburn Rovers side and City rarely showed the form that earned them that 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the midweek.

With games away at Derby County and Huddersfield to follow in the next ten days it promises to be a hectic time for the new management team.

In contrast, things could hardly be better for Guiseley Vixens as they fight to regain their top flight place.

They failed to maintain their one hundred per cent start when they were held 1-1 by fellow promotion chasers Leeds. In fact it was Leeds, with former City striker Caroline Omboyi in their starting line up, who took the lead through Arianne Parnham and it was ex City player Sarah Danby that grabbed the equaliser.

Next up for Guiseley is a visit from newly-promoted Brighouse Town who will be full of confidence after a 6-0 win away at Tranmere Rovers.

On target for Brighouse, another side with a host of ex City players, were Jodie Redgrave (2), Emma Dobson, Tegan McGill, Lauren Doyle and Charlotte Proud.

In the Reserve division Bradford City's game with Leeds and Guiseley's match at Blackburn were both postponed while Brighouse suffered a 7-1 setback at Fylde.

It is cup day tomorrow in the Reserve Section with City at Middlesbrough and Brighouse at home to Guiseley.

Bradford Park Avenue's FA Women's Cup exploits proved short lived as they crashed 8-1 at home to Sheffield United with only a goal from skipper Sarah Huby to show for their efforts in what was a baptism of fire for debutant keeper Channelle Kilner.

Avenue are back in West Riding League action tomorrow when they take on Brayton Belles at Selby College in the Premier Division while in Division One, Bradford City A made a losing start with a 3-1 defeat at Yorkshire Amateurs with Vanessa Holroyd scoring both goals. Tomorrow they are at Brighouse Town Development.
