BRADFORD CITY go to West Bromwich Albion tomorrow for a League Cup game on the back of two successive defeats in the FA Women's Premier League (Northern Division).

The latest setback was a 2-0 defeat at home to newly-promoted Middlesbrough when, despite having their fair share of play, missed chances meant it was much the same as the previous week's defeat at home to Derby County.

Tomorrow's cup game finds Albion in a similar position to City with both sides yet to score their first goal of the new campaign.

Relegated Guiseley Vixens' bid for an early return to the Premier Division has got off to the best possible start with two successive wins in Division One (North).

At Hull City last week they finished 2-0 winners thanks to a 38th-minute goal from Olivia DaCosta and a second, right on time, from Olivia Thackray. Vixens are back at Hull tomorrow looking for a repeat result in the League Cup.

Brighouse Town collected their first point when a Jodie Redgrave hat-trick earned them a 3-3 draw at home to Liverpool Marshalls Feds. They now look forward to a League Cup tie at Mossley Hill Athletic.

It is also League Cup day in the West Riding County League with Battyeford Belles reserves taking on Bradford City A in one of the most intriguing ties.

In the past two years there has been a constant battle for honours between City and the Belles first team, with the latter pipping City to promotion to the Premier Division last season, so it will be interesting to see how Battyeford's second team fare.

Bradford Park Avenue, now settled at the old Westwood Ground at Skylark Avenue, take on Brighouse Athletic A. Other ties include the Athletic first team v Ripon City Panthers, Farsley Celtic v Ossett Town, Dewsbury Rangers v Republica Internationale, Ossett Town reserves v Clifton Rangers and new club Lower Hopton v Brayton Belles.
