PREMIER Division champions Farsley Celtic Juniors were held to a 3-3 home draw by Leeds Medics & Dentists in their final Yorkshire Amateur League match of the season.

Medics had an outside possibility of finishing third with a 4-0 victory and they led early on through Niall Robinson's opportunist strike.

Farsley hit back through leading scorer Danny Lyons but Medics tended to dominate play – even after an injury to midfielder Sammy Bzeu – and they found the net again through Jake Coles' bullet header.

A half-time lecture from coach Adam Thirsk worked wonders as Farsley drew level again thanks to Sam Bradley, before Craig Farrand beat four men and crossed for Lyons to make it 3-2.

In the end it was a goal with seven minutes to go that gave each side a share of the spoils when Dave Ashmore equalised.

Mid-table Grangefield OB beat second-bottom Wigton Moor 4-2 after racing into a four-goal lead following a scoreless first half.

Central defender Andrew Duggan, deployed as a striker, grabbed a hat-trick, with Tyler Gill adding the fourth. Danny McGill and Saeed Osman were the Wigton marksmen.

In Division One, Grangefield OB Reserves lost 2-1 at home to Wortley.

Wortley took the lead but Grangefield levelled matters by the interval. In-form Joe Hudson's second goal gave Wortley the points in a result which dropped Grangefield to third from bottom.

Champions Drighlington racked up a thumping 9-1 win at Rothwell Reserves, with Jordan Brereton scoring four times and Brett Thompson and James Bradd also among the goals.

St Bede's saw off fourth-placed Leeds Medics & Dentists Thirds 5-3 to climb to ninth position. James Boyle bagged three goals, with Jordan Northin and Kingsley Hall also on target.

Fairbank United were thumped 9-2 by Middleton Park in Division Three.

This was only the second victory of the season for basement club Middleton as Fairbank remained sixth, with their only redeeming feature being the brace bagged by Naveed Khan.
