A stoppage-time goal from Field striker Dan Cunningham gave the West Yorkshire League their first FA Inter League Cup silverware.

His late strike clinched a 3-2 win over the Teesside League in the final at York City after club mate Aidan Day had earlier found the target from the spot, Matthew Moon also scoring for the Yorkshiremen.

The West Yorkshire League will now progress into the UEFA Regions Cup qualifying competition, where they will face opposition from hosts Romania, Russia and Serbia at a week-long tournament in September.

Meanwhile, Field slipped to third place in the West Yorkshire League Premier Division after their 3-1 loss to Leeds City.

Leeds opened the scoring after 20 minutes but Field equalised with a far post header from Levi Pedder. In the second half, Leeds restored their lead with a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area and with 15 minutes to go, they scored a third goal to seal the match.

Wyke Wanderers' Premier Division fate looks doomed following their 6-0 defeat at Horbury Town. Secretary Dave Ryan said: "We had to put out a young inexperienced team that were outplayed by an impressive Horbury side."
