SUBSTITUTE Gordon Grimes struck late as Farsley Celtic Juniors nicked a 2-1 home Yorkshire Amateur League win over Rodillian.

League top scorer Danny Lyons volleyed Farsley ahead with his 24th goal of the Premier Division campaign.

Rodillian equalised in the 65th minute and the game looked to be heading for a draw until a corner in the 87th minute was headed home by Grimes.

Farsley now top the table by five points from nearest rivals Ealandians, with both teams having three games left to play.

Grangefield OB hammered Ealandians 5-1, having lost 2-0 to the same opponents a fortnight earlier.

The tables were turned with a vengeance after a goalless first half. A James Parkinson free-kick gave Ealandians the lead but Grant Jackson's penalty restored parity.

Grangefield then made their superiority count as Jackson completed a hat-trick, backed up by Matt Tomlinson and an own goal.

Drighlington beat St Bede's 5-0 in Division One. Drig were never under threat as they had Shane Sowden (2), Bailey Collinson (2) and Joe Lawrence on target.

Grangefield OB Reserves lost 3-1 at home to Garforth Rangers after Paul Adlington had given them the lead with a penalty.

Gildersome Spurs OB beat Farnley Celtic Juniors Reserves 3-1 in in Division Two, while Fairbank United lost 8-1 at home to Churwell Juniors Reserves in Division Three. Drighlington Reserves drew 2-2 at Woodkirk Valley Reserves in Division Five.
