MOURNERS at Malcolm Collins' funeral service at New Hey Road Methodist Church in East Bowling today (1pm) have been asked to wear Bradford City colours.

A long-time Bantams fan and member of East Bowling Unity Club, Malcolm was also chairman of Bradford Schools' Football Association, used to run their under-11 and under-12 teams, was a well-known local referee (he was a linesman at an under-15 schoolboy international at Wembley in the mid-1980s) and a teacher at Hutton Middle School.

Malcolm, who leaves partner Kathleen Evans and sister Angela, also had a collection of pinball machines and loved visiting Cumbria, producing featured shorts about both on BBC Video Nation.

His cremation will be at Scholemoor Crematorium at 2pm and donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Macmillan Nurses and Cancer Research UK.
