IN the Yorkshire Amateur League, Rimington beat Farsley Celtic Juniors 3-1 in the fourth round of the WRCFA Challenge Cup.

Drighlington beat Alwoodley Reserves 4-0 and led 3-0 at the interval thanks to goals from leading scorer Sam Sowden, Brett Thompson and Mikey Durham with a second-half penalty for Jonny Kitchen the icing on the cake.

Drighlington have reached the last 16 and will meet either Ilkley Town Res or Leeds City OB in that round.

In the Marflitt Trophy quarter-final, Farnley Sports beat Beeston Juniors 8-3.

There was no hanging back from Farnley and Adam Butterworth netted twice in the first five minutes.

Further goals from Andy Punter and man of the match Shane Gaunt (2) gave Farnley an already unassailable 5-0 interval advantage.

The second half was more even and, while Farnley added goals through Adam Butterworth, Andy Punter and substitute Curtis Lewis, these were matched by goals for Ryan Dawson, Dayle Kellett and George Lazaro for Beeston.

The opponents for Farnley will come from one of three clubs with matches to play before reaching the semi-final.

In Division 1, St Bedes lost 6-0 at home to Grangefield OB Reserves, whose victory moved them up to second in the table.

In great form with four goals was Tyler Gill with Si Yeadon and Daniel Cuff also on target.

Calverley United won 1-0 at Dewsbury Rangers with a goal from become Ian Roberts.

In Division 2, Farsley Celtic Juniors Reserves beat Old Centralians 3-1 and maintained their lead at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, in Division 3, Fairbank United beat Kippax Athletic 3-1 and, in Division 4, Amaranth Res overcame Farnley Sports Reserves by the same scoreline.

In Division 5, East Ardsley Wanderers thumped Drighlington Reserves 6-3.

Scores for Drig Res were Luke Thompson 2 and Charlie Leather.

In Division 6, St Bedes Reserves drew 1-1 at home to 1 Leeds City OB.

Kev Benson put Bedes ahead before Scott Sellers equalised for Leeds City OB III in the 40th minute.
