BRADFORD City and Huddersfield Town's will try again tomorrow to stage their FA Women's Cup second round tie at Eccleshill United after seeing it washed out last week.

Overnight frost rather than the recent heavy rain is coach Steve Winterburn's main concern.

It is going to be hard enough for City after limited game time in the past two months and the reward of an away tie at Yeovil in the next round is not the most appealing prospect.

Guiseley, who face a rearranged tie with Loughborough Foxes tomorrow, have fared better in the draw as they will be at home to Sussex side Lewes if they win.

There was some league action last week with clubs taking the initiative and staging games on artificial pitches.

City's reserve side, having played only four league games all season, switched their game with Leeds reserves to Batley Sports Centre and came away with a resounding 9-2 victory.

Two goals apiece from Amanda Ellsworth and Charlotte Stuart, and one from Jess Graham, gave City a 5-0 interval lead. Leeds hit back with two goals in a minute just after half-time, before City netted four more through llsworth (2), Graham and Aqsa Mushtaq to give the side a boost ahead of tomorrow's visit to Hull City.

Bradford Park Avenue, also playing on an artificial pitch at Thornton Grammar School, had no luck in their In the West Riding League Premier Division game as they went down 4-2 to a previously pointless Gledhow. Sarah Huby and Jade Nelson were the Avenue scorers.

Next up for struggling Avenue is a trip to leaders Ossett Town. In Division One, leaders Bradford City A go to pointless Oulton fresh from a fine 3-1 League Cup win over Premier Division Brighouse Athletic on the Zara Sports Centre 3G pitch.
