FIELD lost their unbeaten Premier Division record and top spot as well following a 4-1 defeat at Beeston St Anthony's in the West Yorkshire League.

The Leeds-based hosts took a 2-0 lead in the first 25 minutes before Chris Wood pulled a goal back for Field.

Beeston were then awarded a penalty as Field player Levi Pedder received a red card for a foul when he was the last man. The spot-kick was converted and St Anthony's completed the scoring.

Field assistant manager Barry Dunne said: "Beeston played well, worked hard and didn't let us settle. At 3-1 down we still went forward and pushed them back but we couldn't get through their defence."

James Tucker was given the man-of-the-match award for Wyke Wanderers, who suffered a 2-0 defeat in the Premier Division against Wetherby Athletic.

Wyke started well and had opportunities to take the lead but it was Wetherby who scored first after 25 minutes.

Kurt Pendlebury of Wanderers was put through for a one-on-one chance but shot straight at the goalkeeper.

The game was put to bed when Wetherby scored their second goal in the 55th minute.

Baildon Trinity Athletic moved out of the Division One relegation zone after a 4-2 victory against Sherburn White Rose.

Trinity opened the scoring after 20 minutes when Darren Rands crossed for Andrew Radosevic to score with a great header.

Sherburn levelled before Rands restored Baildon's lead with a left-footed shot from 25 yards that curled into the top corner.

After the break, Johnny Reynolds headed Baildon into a two-goal lead but Sherburn scored a penalty with 15 minutes to go.

Trinity had the final word when man of the match Rands scored with a fine 30-yard volley.

Matthew Hartley scored the all-important goal for Field Reserves in their 1-0 win against Otley Town Reserves in Alliance Division One.

Wyke Wanderers Reserves came away from Boroughbridge Reserves with a 1-1 draw.

Wanderers were the better team and went in front through Sam Digby's deflected shot.

The visitors had chances to increase their lead but they did not take them and suffered the consequences when Boroughbridge grabbed an equaliser in the 83rd minute.

Harrison Levy was voted Wyke's man of the match, with Craig Lupton and Sibu Mayo also putting in good performances.
