SALTS entered three teams into the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup, and all three have qualified for the quarter-finals.

Their first team defeated Thornton United 3-2 in the second round, Joe Pleasance (2) and Matthew Hall netting for the winners, while the second string accounted for Spen Valley League side Idle 4-1, Andrew Sadowskyj bagging a hat-trick.

However, the biggest surprise came at Saltaire Playing Fields, where West Riding County Amateur League side Hunsworth were beaten 8-0 by Salts' Craven League team.

Robert Lang, Jordan Nelson and Callum Clarkson all got braces, with the impressive tally being completed by Jermaine Ramsden and George Partridge.

The success of both of Campion's sides means that only five clubs will contest the four matches.

Campion's first team despatched Dudley Hill Rangers 12-1 but only had three scorers – Jordan Missin (5), Lee Smith (4) and Gavin Armitage (3).

The reserves had first-half goals from Josh Ludford and Tom Bentham in a 2-0 home victory over Tyersal.

Holders Field had two hat-trick men – Aiden Day and John Penn – whose goals were added to doubles by Jack Webster and Connor Wignall in a 10-0 victory over Thackley.

Wibsey and West Horton make up the last eight. Wibsey, with two goals from Daniell O’Donnell and a Vaughan Clarke-Williamson effort beat Vision (Wyke) 3-0, while West Horton hung onto a first-half strike from Hassan Khan to beat Bradford 1-0.

In the Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League, Steeton failed to move into the top six of the Premier Division, when a goal in the first minute of the second half by Tim Fletcher gave visitors Lower Hopton a 1-0 success.

Halifax Irish moved up to fourth after a 7-2 win at Kirkburton, with Anthony Brown helping himself to four goals, Matthew Waller (2) and Damon Gledhill-Nicholls also being on target.

In Division Two, Route One Rovers moved above TVR United into first place, with Abdul Hakimaz netting four as they beat Ovenden West Riding Reserves 8-2.
