BAILDON Trinity Athletic, finalists last season in the Wharfedale & District FA Saturday Challenge Cup, fell at the first hurdle this time around when AFC Horsforth scored five goals in the last 15 minutes.

Ben Craven twice had the opportunity to open the scoring for Baildon, while Sean McVey also shot wide.

After their 5-0 defeat, Baildon secretary Dave Parker said: "The score didn't reflect the game, with Trinity having better of the early play but Horsforth were more clinical in finishing and deserved to win."

In the West Yorkshire League, Matthew Hartley was the hero for Field Reserves as he grabbed four goals in their 6-0 win against East End Park Reserves in Alliance Division One.

Glyn Hirst and Kieran Suddards scored the other goals.
