IDLE'S home match against Athletico in the Spen Valley League was predictably close.

Aaron Irving (2) and Ryan Mitchell netted for the hosts but Brandon Dexter, Mahine Malik, Shamraz Hussain and an own goal tipped the balance for leaders Athletico, who are the only unbeaten team in the Premier Division with three wins out of three.

Second-placed Idle are one of four sides on six points but below that cluster were first wins for Hartshead, White Abbey Road, Whitburn and Girlington.

Hartshead triumphed 4-3 at Savile United, while Qaisar Ghafoor (2) and the Khans (Waheed, Asif and Bilal) were on target for White Abbey Road in their 5-1 home win against basement boys Palestino, for whom Theo Budgra netted.

Whitburn edged a 6-5 thriller against visitors Savile Youth thanks to braces by Kezim Shah, one of which was from 40 yards, Lee Johnston and Maldini, while Adeeb Jawad and Shoaib Javed were Girlington's marksmen in their 2-1 home victory over Hightown Jets.

Vision Wyke are fifth as Richard Murgatroyd and Simon Emery scored in their 2-1 win at Salthorn.

Drummond are third in Division One after a 3-2 triumph at Savile Town, with Mohammed Adaas (2) and Hassan Khan on target.
