DRIGHLINGTON Juniors Football Club are among six organisations within the West Riding to benefit from a Football Foundation grant.
They have received £9,485 – half the total money required – for fencing.
Dewsbury club Moorends Hornets & Stingers have been awarded £675 of the £1,350 they need to replace unsafe goalposts, while others to benefit are Aberford Albion (£8,136 towards pitch improvement), Beeston Juniors (£750 towards replacing unsafe goalposts), Calderdale Council and Illingworth Sports & Social Club (£72,663 towards pitch improvements) and Snaith Juniors (£1,259.33 towards portable floodlights).
The Football Foundation has awarded £15.1 million from the Premier League & FA Facilities Fund to a total of 101 grassroots football facilities projects across the country that are worth £33m.
