BRADFORD Athletic are off the mark in the Spen Valley League Premier Division.

They handed Savile Youth their first defeat of the season in a 7-3 victory away from home, goals coming from Gulfraz Satti (3), Faisal Hussain (2), Mushad Ahmed and Sultan Khan.

Athletic are up to fifth but still trail 100 per cent leaders TVR United and Marsh by six points.

TVR increased basement boys Vision's misery with a 10-0 away win, with Abid Khan (4), Mo Abdalla (2), Asif Iqbal (2) and Faisal Shabir among those on target.

Marsh also triumphed on their travels, Smokin Aces falling 4-0 to efforts by Mark Milner (2), Andrew Milner and Mark Wigley.

Goals by Faisal Adam (2) and Shoaib Patel gave Savile United a 3-2 victory at Whitburn, but Girlington lost 4-0 at third-placed Route One Rovers after efforts from Shoaib Iqbal (2), Ilfy Hussain (penalty) and Mahmood Ali.

Mount Pleasant (three wins from three), Howden Clough and Palestino (each two wins and a draw) lead the way in the First Division, but just behind them are Idle, who defeated Athletico 5-0.

Mo Patel (2), Anees Younis (2), Sufyaan Hafeez, Aadam Chibda and Aamir Aswat netted for Mount Pleasant in their 7-3 win at Cleckheaton Sporting, who replied via Matty Softley (2) and Alan Wilks.

James Leadbeater and Reece Scholes were on target for Howden Clough in their victory at Inter Batley, while James Chadwick and K Harland netted for Palestino, who also won 2-1 at Hightown.
