Former City youth team defender Phil Cutler has made his mark in America as the most successful footballer in his college’s history.
Cutler, who was at Valley Parade from 2008 to 2010, will graduate from Notre Dame College after featuring for the Falcons in 72 wins, including a national championship appearance and two play-offs.
He was named Mountain East Conference defensive player of the year and a unanimous All-American selection.
Cutler also became the first Falcons men’s player to be named in the national scholars team.
