Bradford City’s women beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 in their disputed rearranged Women’s Premier League Reserve Division Cup semi-final at Rawdon Meadows.
Forest, who had failed to appear for the original tie, lost their first game of the season as City’s win secured a hat-trick of senior cup final appearances for the club this season.
Mel Garside-Wight opened the scoring with a penalty, Caroline Omboyi added the second goal and Abby Parkin completed the scoring.
City’s first team, already County Cup holders, boosted their outside chance of the runners-up spot in the Premier League (Northern) Division as they beat Newcastle United 2-0 at Thackley with goals from Jodie Redgrave and Charlotte Stuart.
