GOALS Bradford will be hosting an official five-a-side ‘Movember’ football tournament to help raise money and awareness about prostate and testicular cancer next month.
The Movember Cup event takes place at the Kings Road venue on Sunday, November 18 (6pm).
The winners of each of 43 regional tournaments will then be entered into a national prize draw to win an all-expenses paid trip to Copenhagen on Saturday, December 1 to play against a Danish five-a-side team.
Movember is responsible for thousands of moustaches appearing on men’s faces in the UK and around the world every November and in excess of £79.3million was raised last year.
GOALS Bradford centre manager Darren Eamonson said: “Our Movember tournament will be a lot of fun but with a serious message at the heart of it.
“We hope to have as many ‘Mos’ as possible taking part in the tournament and to raise lots of money for this great cause.
“For those who are unable to grow their own, we’ll even provide you with a temporary one for £2, with all proceeds going to the charity.”
All players will also receive a complimentary grooming kit from Gillette. Teams can enter the event by ringing 01274-610061 or by visiting www.goalsfootball.co.uk/movember.
