THACKLEY have the unenviable task of trying to avenge last weekend's home defeat against a strong Bridlington Town side when they journey to the east coast for the reverse fixture on Saturday.

Bridlington travelled to Dennyfield last weekend and took all three points back home with them, giving back-to-back 3-2 defeats for the Dennyboys as they lost by the same scoreline at lowly Penistone Church in midweek.

Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division rivals Albion Sports were also in action in midweek and banked a point from a challenging home game against high-flying Pickering Town.

Albion are on the road on Saturday as they head to Rainworth Miners' Welfare, who are six places above Kulwinder Sandhu's men but are just six points better off, having played two games more.

Sandhu will be pleased that his two main strikers, Danny Facey and Omar Habeeb, are both back in the side and in the goals.

They were both on target in Wednesday's 2-2 draw with the Pikes.

Eccleshill United will be aiming to keep their resurgence on track as they host Division One newcomers Swallownest.

The Eagles have won their last four league games and put in five goals at East Yorkshire Carnegie last weekend.

Their visitors, who are only one point worse off but have played two games more, also will be looking to build as they won 1-0 at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in midweek.

In the same division, third-placed Campion face a trip to second-placed Yorkshire Amateur.

James Bicknell's men were held to a draw last weekend by Glasshoughton Welfare, so it will be a test of character.

Saturday's hosts are four points behind leaders Knaresborough Town but are also four points in from of Bicknell's men.

The Ammers also have two leading scorers in Ashley Flynn and Fernando Moke, and also have former Brighouse Town forward Danny Naidole in their ranks.

Liversedge are not in league action this weekend as they are still involved in the Buildbase FA Vase.

They were drawn away in the second qualifying round but they face a familiar foe as they travel to NCEL Premier Division rivals Hemsworth Miners' Welfare.

If league form is any indicator then Jonathan Rimmington's men are second favourites.

Hemsworth are third and are averaging two points per game, Liversedge have played fewer games but are averaging at 1.5 points.
