FARSLEY CELTIC are top of the Division One North table after a last-minute goal from Lewis Nightingale secured a 2-1 victory over Ossett Albion in the Evo-Stik League.

The Celts' last-gasp win came on the same day Lancaster City were beaten 2-0 at Colwyn Bay, a defeat which saw them surrender top spot.

Farsley are now at the summit on goal difference and they also have two games in hand on Lancaster.

Following a goalless first half at Throstle Nest, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 66th minute. Alex Boachie had only come off the bench minutes earlier but reacted well to turn a cross past home goalkeeper Graeme McKibbon.

Centre-back Adam Clayton headed the Celts level with 11 minutes remaining and Farsley continually knocked on the door in search of a winner. The Unicorns held out until the last minute, when Nightingale slotted the ball under the keeper to bring the house down.

BRIGHOUSE TOWN took an early lead but then had to come from a goal down to draw 2-2 at home to Ramsbottom United. Both clubs are looking to mount a late run for the play-offs and this result will be regarded as a setback by both.

Town scored early on as Ben Wharton converted a cross from Mike Fish but the visitors hit back as Lee Gaskell netted from the spot after a foul in the penalty area. Gaskell then gave Ramsbottom the lead but Fish equalised with a shot from a near-impossible angle.

The Dennyboys led for most of the game thanks to Ryan Farrell's fifth-minute opener but Declan Welford earned the visitors a share of the spoils late on.

CAMPION enjoyed a 5-1 home win over fourth-placed Penistone Church in Division One.

A hat-trick from Eli Hey and a brace by Talent Ndlovu blew the visitors away, although they had been level midway through the first half courtesy of a goal from Andy Ring.

ECCLESHILL UNITED also tasted victory as they won 2-1 away to a Knaresborough Town side that was looking to climb into the play-off zone.
