After winning their first six Blue Square Bet North fixtures, Guiseley have slumped to back-to-back defeats so tomorrow night’s derby at Nethermoor will be a test of character.

Lions boss Steve Kittrick will be looking for a positive reaction at home to Harrogate Town before the league takes a break this weekend for the FA Cup second qualifying round.

Guiseley have slipped to third following their two losses but have no fresh injury worries ahead of the visit from their tenth-placed near-neighbours.

Another club in need of a boost is Farsley as they head to Evo-Stik Division One rivals Radcliffe Borough for an FA Trophy preliminary-round replay.

Neil Parsley’s men snatched a 1-1 draw at Throstle Nest thanks to a late equaliser from substitute Ryan Carr.

Farsley will have to break a spell of five games without a win if they are to earn a trip to face Leek Town in the next round.

Brighouse Town also need to bounce back as they lost the leadership of the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division at the weekend following a 1-0 reverse at Retford United.

Third-placed Town could regain top spot tomorrow night but hosts Bridlington Town would leapfrog them with a win, so much is riding on the result.
