FARSLEY Celtic face a tough test as they look to climb back into the Evo-Stik League play-off places when they travel to Bradford Park Avenue's FA Trophy conquerors Stourbridge.

The Celts dropped out of the Premier Division top five after surprise successive defeats to clubs low in the table.

Farsley boss Adam Lakeland said: "It's the first time all season that we have lost back-to-back league games and we're halfway into our first season together at this level, so it's certainly not a crisis and I won't be hitting the panic button just yet.

"However, we do have aspects of our game that need to improve quickly and we are working hard in training this week hoping for an improved result away at Stourbridge."

The Glassboys have also had a run of league defeats and are five points worse off that the Celts – but 11th place is a false position as they have played three games fewer than Farsley due to their excellent cup form.

Stourbridge knocked National League North outfit Alfreton out of the FA Cup, before exiting that competition after a 5-0 home defeat to National League outfit Macclesfield in the fourth qualifying round.

They are also enjoying a run in the FA Trophy and put Alfreton's league rivals Avenue out in the last round.

The Glassboys held Avenue to a 1-1 draw at Horsfall Stadium before winning the replay 2-1 and are away at Leamington in the first round next Saturday.

BRIGHOUSE TOWN also face a tough away game as they travel over the Pennines for a Division One North roses derby against Clitheroe.

The Lancastrians are in the top half of the table and are just two points off sixth place, yet their Shawbridge home is hardly a fortress.

The Blues have won just half of their ten home league fixtures this term, although they are in good form as they go into the game on the back of five straight victories in all competitions.

Town will be looking to build on last week's home win over Clitheroe's neighbours Colne. That much-needed victory came after two defeats and Vill Powell's men remain in the bottom three.

They are one of three clubs on 17 points but the other two – Colne and Radcliffe Borough – have two games in hand on Brighouse.
