FARSLEY Celtic have barely had time to get their breath back from Saturday’s frantic 5-4 win at Hyde United before they head back over the Pennines tonight.

The Celts’ victory and a win by Evo-Stik League neighbours and rivals Brighouse Town helped second-placed Farsley close in on the summit in Division One North.

Another win for Farsley would take them to within three points of leaders Lancaster City, who Paul Quinn’s Town beat 3-2 away at the weekend, and the Celts would still have two games in hand.

However, Farsley are still reeling from their all-action clash with Hyde on Saturday and they face a tough test on the outskirts of Bury.

Hosts Ramsbottom United are also in buoyant mood after they won 1-0 at Tadcaster Albion - a victory that leaves them just five points outside the play-off places.

Ramsbottom have games in hand on four of the top five as only Farsley have played fewer games.

The reverse fixture at Throstle Nest ended goalless, and Ramsbottom will be back in the area very soon as they head to Brighouse Town on Saturday.

James Walshaw will be hoping to sign off in style tonight.

The Celts’ leading scorer has been in excellent form recently but this will be his last game before a ban following his sending off at Hyde.
