HAVING had their own Evo-Stik League play-off hopes dashed, FARSLEY CELTIC will now be looking to dent Trafford's aim for a top-five finish and claim a league double.

The Celts have dropped out of the frame after three consecutive Division One North defeats and a draw – but they were boosted last Saturday by the return of a former crowd favourite.

James Knowles re-signed for the club and came on as a second-half substitute for his first run-out of the season.

The centre back has been out of action for over 12 months after breaking a leg in two places playing for former club FC United of Manchester.

He rejoins the Celts for the remainder of this season as cover for Adam Clayton, who is carrying an injury, and Paddy Miller, who is facing suspension.

Farsley will be looking forward to tomorrow's trip to Shawe View after beating Trafford 2-0 in the reverse fixture back in November with goals from Aaron Hardy and Aiden Savory.

Trafford are in a rich vein of form though and banked six points over the Easter weekend with a 3-1 home win over Bamber Bridge and a 2-1 victory at promotion rivals Northwich Victoria.

BRIGHOUSE TOWN face an even tougher test than Farsley as they travel to table-toppers Warrington Town.

The Yellows are 12 points clear, having played one game more than their two closest contenders and have five fixtures remaining.

Warrington have only lost once at home all season and Paul Quinn's visitors have already lost there, being beaten 2-0 in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

The Yellows won by the same scoreline at the Dual Seal Stadium in the league, with Ciaran Kilheeney on target in both games.
