FARSLEY Celtic will be asked to do something on Saturday they haven’t had to do since October 24 – bounce back from a league defeat.

Neil Parsley’s men turned in an unusually poor performance on Tuesday night and were beaten 3-0 by play-off rivals Burscough.

Their previous loss in Evo-Stik Division One North was four months ago, also at home, to Warrington Town.

The Celts are back at Throstle Nest and need a win against Ossett Albion to keep the play-off places within reach. Albion are fifth and are nine points clear of Farsley but have played two games more.

Josh Grant has left Farsley to sign for Division One South club Shaw Lane Aquaforce. He made 19 appearances for the Celts this season but his game-time was limited while the club was on its 14-match unbeaten run, so he has moved on in search of more regular football.

Brighouse Town also play one of the sides in the play-off places when they head to fourth-placed Glossop North End.

Paul Quinn’s Town had a free midweek to lick their wounds from a 4-0 home defeat last Saturday to third-placed Spennymoor Town.

That scoreline didn’t reflect the game, so Quinn’s men will hope that North End feel the repercussions as Town look to get their pride back.
