FARSLEY Celtic will be seeking their 11th straight win when they host Bamber Bridge in Evo-Stik Division One North tomorrow.

Not all of the Celts’ consecutive victories have come in the league but they have rocketed up the table during their remarkable run.

Tuesday’s hard-earned 3-1 win over rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic, also at Throstle Nest, helped Farsley climb to ninth spot and within five points of the play-off places.

There will be no resting on their laurels for Neil Parsley’s men though as they will be in for a tough test from their Preston-based visitors.

The Lancashire club are five places below Farsley but have got three games in hand on their hosts and are only five points behind.

Farsley are one of three clubs on 34 points but are top of that trio by virtue of a vastly superior goal difference.

Brighouse Town are one of the other two on the same points and also face a stern examination.

Town only just retained their place in the top half of the table after Monday’s home defeat to leaders Warrington Town, and Paul Quinn’s men travel to Burscough, who are looking for the win that could lift them into the play-off zone.

Sixth-placed Burscough have games in hand on four of the five clubs above them and will be determined to keep the pressure on their promotion rivals.
