FARSLEY Celtic kept their unbeaten run going as they frustrated high-flying Division One North visitors Spennymoor Town in the Evo-Stik League.

The Moors were fourth with games in hand over the two clubs immediately above them and they remain in the same position after being held to a 1-1 draw at Throstle Nest by the struggling Celts.

Neil Parsley's men remain in the relegation places despite stretching their run without a defeat to four games in all competitions in yet another promising display.

It was a lightning start for Farsley as they took a fourth-minute lead when Lewis Nightingale lashed in a shot from the edge of the area.

Paul Walker and Leon Osborne both went close to extending the Celts' lead but the visitors levelled on the quarter-hour mark. It was somewhat against the run of play but Liam Henderson beat Farsley keeper Tom Taylor with a good finish.

Henderson forced Taylor into a good save before the break but the home side had chances in the second half. Farsley skipper Rob O'Brien went close after good work from Ross Daly, while Walker saw a shot tipped over by Moors keeper Danny Lowson.

Divisional rivals BRIGHOUSE TOWN moved up one place to sixth despite also drawing after visitors Lancaster City bagged an equaliser deep into stoppage time to make it 2-2.

Ryan Hall made space for a shot after being found by Ernest Boafo to fire Town into a 14th-minute lead but the red rose outfit hit back within minutes. Home keeper Paul Hargreen fouled Aaron Taylor in the area and Ryan Winder netted the resulting penalty.

Town still took a lead into the interval after Adam Wilson met a 43rd-minute corner and steered the ball past the Lancaster keeper.

But the Lancashire outfit drew the battle of the roses when Taylor found the top corner in the third minute of time added on.
