Harrogate Railway Athletic 1 Brighouse Town 1
BRIGHOUSE and Railway could not be separated in one of just five Evo-Stik Division One North fixtures.
With many of their rivals in FA Trophy action it was a good opportunity for these two lower mid-table clubs to make a move up the table.
It turned out to be a wasted opportunity as the rivals had to settle for a point apiece from a tight Yorkshire derby.
Town drew first blood as Tyrone Gay gave them a seventh-minute lead with a diving header, launching himself to meet a Danny Nidiole free-kick.
Railway, who had former Albion Sports man Malachi Farquarson in their starting line-up, levelled through Luke Dean seven minutes before half-time.
The point took Town up one place to 16th.
