FARSLEY'S potent front three could cut loose on Saturday at Evo-Stik Division One North basement outfit Padiham.

The Lancashire club have shipped 36 goals so far this term – a whopping 20 more than their visitors.

Farsley boss Neil Parsley has not always fielded Aiden Savory, Marcus Edwards and Adam Priestley in the same staring line-up but if he goes for the three-pronged attack at Padiham there could be a goal fest.

Sixth-placed Farsley are looking for a shot in the arm after taking just one point from the last six. That period began well enough as Parsley’s men cancelled out leaders Salford City, but following that goalless draw at Throstle Nest, Farsley lost 3-1 at Scarborough Athletic.

It was not merely the defeat but the manner of it that caused concern for Parsley and his assistants Sim Bambrook and Mark Jackson. The Seadogs displaced Farsley from fourth with that win last Saturday.

Padiham are two points behind second-from-bottom New Mills and have played two games more than the Derbyshire outfit.

There will be a mid-table battle at the Dual Seal Stadium, where Brighouse Town are taking on Clitheroe in another Roses battle. Town hold the bragging rights going into the game as they are two places higher than their visitors. However, it is that tight that a win for either club could take them into the top ten.

Paul Quinn’s men have lost three of their last four league games and exited the FA Trophy at the first time of asking.

They have had a tough run of fixtures though, and will be looking forward to meeting a club close to them in the table.
