Brighouse Town 6 Prescot Cables 3
Brighouse Town hit Prescot Cables with six of the best to bank a much-needed three points in Evo-Stik Division One North but two stoppage-time goals blotted their copybook.
The visitors had snatched an early lead as Sam Corlett netted in the third minute but Town were soon back on level terms. Shaquille Clarke-Adams levelled in the 13th minute, Tom Matthews put Town in front and they took a 3-1 lead into the break after Danny Naidole added in first-half injury-time.
A quickfire double from Ryan Hall saw the home side 5-1 up just nine minutes into the second half. Naidole netted a sixth for Paul Quinn’s men before Matty West scored Prescot’s second in the second minute of stoppage time and Corlett bagged his brace a minute later.
The win lifted Town two places to 14th in the table.
