White Star seeking Alliance double

Tomorrow's Sunday Senior Cup final between Buttershaw White Star and Ventus United at Eccleshill United (2.15) signals the end of another Bradford Sunday Alliance League season.

If Buttershaw win, they will complete the double of cup and league but Ventus will be wanting to end their campaign on a high after the disappointment of losing to Bolton Woods in the Bradford & District FA Sunday Cup final.

There is a restricted league programme this weekend, and the only matches of any interest are in Division One, where Thornton will be crowned champions and assured of Premier Division football next season.

But the battle for second place goes down to the wire, with Baildon, who beat Dudley Hill Rangers in midweek, hoping for three points when they entertain Great Northern.

Westwood Park also want the points when they entertain fourth-placed Dudley Hill.
