BRADFORD Sunday Alliance Division One side Tyersal could claim top spot this weekend by beating Queensbury on Sunday.

After a 7-3 victory over Wrose Bull on Thursday, the second-placed side are just two points adrift of leaders Beldon Oddies, who have a lower goal difference than Tyersal and need a win to maintain their lead.

Queensbury can move above Shoulder of Mutton into seventh should they cause an upset against Tyersal and their opponents lose to Clayton Village S&S.

In the Premier Division, Ventus United meet Lyceum for the second time in a week. Ventus ran out 6-2 winners last weekend, but those were the club’s first points since drawing 4-4 with Thornbury Celtic in October. Lyceum are in better form having taken five points from as many games.

West Bowling will be looking for a first win in three when they host rivals Oakenshaw. The club lost 4-2 to top side Olympic on Thursday to compound a defeat to Thornbury last weekend, but West Bowling can maintain a spot in the top four with victory this time round.

In Division Three, first-placed AFC Bingley will be aiming to extend their nine-match unbeaten run when they travel to Westleigh Wizards on Sunday. A win for the club would be their ninth in 10 games.
