ONLY three games survived the snow and ice in the GOALS Bradford Sunday Alliance League at the weekend and all were in the lower divisions.

In Division Two, Fairweather Green are only three points behind leaders Northern after defeating second-placed AFC Titans 5-1.

A brace of goals each from Ryan Mahoney and Brendan Maltby, plus a strike by Nicholas Brack, gave third-placed Green victory.

Northern have 29 points from 13 games and AFC Titans one point less from the same number of matches.

Although Green have played two games more, they could still threaten the top two.

Eccleshill Punjab are fourth with 20 points but, due to cup runs and postponed fixtures, they have only played eight matches.

Next weekend, weather permitting, Northern visit AFC Titans in a top-of-the table clash.

The other two fixtures were played in Division Three and Bradford Celtic cemented second place with a 5-1 victory over AFC Titans Reserves, putting them only three points behind AFC Bingley.

In the lower reaches of the section, AFC Wibsey Reserves ran amok with a 13-2 triumph over next-to-bottom Eccleshill Lions.

Hat-tricks from Stefan Hayling, Dale Stephens and Mark Waterhouse, plus a brace for Jacob Thompson and strikes by Dean Peltier and Leon Reid, were too much for gallant Lions, who replied with two goals from Kyle Barron.

* PREMIER Division outfit Bolton Woods have some ground to make up on Championship Division duo Bolton Woods Social and Heaton Athletic if they are to retain the sporting awards crown that they won last season and the playing kit that goes with it.

Front-runners in the Premier Division are Ventus United and West Bowling, while Clayton Village Sports & Social and Shoulder of Mutton lead the way in Division One.

Black Swan and Hunsworth currently head the standings in Division Two and Division Three respectively.
