STATION Hotel have completed their treble.

Already champions of Division 1A in the GOALS Bradford Sunday Alliance League, they added the Bradford & District FA's Sunday Cup last Thursday, coming from behind to defeat Eccleshill United Sunday 3-1 at Manningham Mills.

And now Station have added their league's Intermediate Cup to their ledger, returning to the the sportsbulk.co.uk Stadium to defeat Division 1B winners Salts Sunday 2-1.

In one of the best Sunday league cup finals played at Manningham Mills in recent seasons, Station Hotel again conceded first, Matthew Humm firing home a terrific free-kick from just outside the penalty area for the only goal of the opening half.

Both teams had had chances to score, and the tempo and opportunities increased for either side in the second half, with the keepers being tested and shots being cleared off the line.

Ten minutes into the second half, Station were level thanks to a goal from James Sugden and, after more pressure from Station, they went in front when Dean Cawdrey hit the winner 20 minutes from the end.

In a great advert for the league, the contest was hard but fair and was played in a terrific atmosphere.

There was a little league action t speak of, but in Division 1A, Queensbury cemented fifth place with a 3-2 victory over Steel Bangle Spartans.

In Division 1B,  Mill Lane caught Amateur Cup winners Peacock Bar on a bad day, defeating them 9-1.

Kyle Dych hitting four for the visitors and Lee Taylor bagged a brace.

 * West Bowling, winners of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division and through to their Senior Cup final on Sunday against Thornton United at Manningham Mills, have failed in their bid for a treble.

They lost 2-1 to Leeds Combination League side Hope Inn Whites in a semi-final of the West Riding County Sunday Cup at county HQ at Fleet Lane, Woodlesford.

A goal either side of half-time gave Bowling, for whom Andy Kenyon was man of the match, a mountain to climb, even though Nick Cowling reduced the arrears.

Hope Inn Whites will now play Alliance side Sandy Lane Sunday in the final at Woodlesford on Friday.
