THERE was a mixture of league and cup action for Bradford Sunday Alliance League clubs – and Division One leaders Lyceum tasted defeat in the West Riding County Sunday Cup by 4-2 at Dewsbury-based St John Fisher.

The semi-final line-up for the Bradford & District FA Sunday Senior Cup was sorted out after Division One team Olympic disposed of Premier Division basement boys Bradford Moor.

They will now play Thornton United – but Division One are guaranteed at least one representative in the final at Eccleshill United in April as the other semi-final, also at Thackley, is between local rivals Swaine Green and Lyceum.

In the Bradford & District FA Sunday Cup, Toller and Eccleshill United fought out a nine-goal thriller, with United edging it 5-4 against ten players after Toller had a man sent off.

Liam Moore, Adeeb Hassan, Hassan Khan and Irfan Khan scored for Toller, for whom man of the match Kamran Khan was inspirational.

West Bowling, despite having to make two injury substitutions in the first ten minutes, moved five points clear at the top of the Premier Division with a 7-1 victory over second-placed Thornbury Celtic.

Although Bowling created a few chances, the away stopper kept them at bay until the 21st minute when Jordon Lee Hagyard's corner kick was headed in by captain Nick Cowling.

On a very sticky pitch, there were no more goals before half-time and Bowling had to wait until the 61st minute for their second, Glyn Hirst's cross being met superbly by Josh Milner, who hammered the ball into the bottom corner. Then five goals in ten minutes anded the contest.

Cowling scored his second by turning in a Milner corner and Tom Lambert – back from four months out – put in a precise pass for Milner to again hammer the ball past the keeper.

Chris Wood crossed for leading scorer Hirst to steer the ball home and man of the match Hirst then got his second when Wood played him in.

Hagyard's cross into box was then converted by the hard-working Wood to make it 7-0 to West Bowling and although Ashley Onitiri did well to save a penalty, the rebound was converted to foil their clean sheet.

Oakenshaw, who played for an hour with ten men after Collis Robinson was sent off, beat Allerton 2-1.

Josh Ludford and Josh Hands scored in the first half after Allerton had gone in front from the penalty spot, before Oakenshaw held out with a determined second-half rearguard action.

Sandy Lane hit four against struggling Bolton Woods, with Mathew Cavanagh, Stuart Cottrell, Lee Smith and Chris Winn on the mark for the hosts and Jordan Buck replying.

In Division 1A, Wrose Bull hit ten against Clayton Village Sports & Social, with both Mathew Barok and Adam Medley hitting hat-tricks for the winners.

Salts are top of Division 1B, winning against Oddfellows Celtic with both Ryan Whitfield and Harry Naylor bagging trebles in a 7-1 scoreline.

East Ward continue at the top of Division 2A, beating Clayton Village Sports & Social Reserves with veteran Allan Morley notching a hat-trick for the winners.

In Division 2A, Turf won 4-3 against AFC Titans Reserves, with goals coming from Jordan Sargent (2), Jordan Rhodes and Tim Barker.

Fairweather Green top Division 2B after beating Victoria Lions 5-0, with Karl Ratcliffe getting three.

Two goals from Nathan Bailey of Prospect Reserves was not enough when Parry Lane beat them 5-3 in a bitty match at Peel Park.
