WEST Bowling moved to the top of the Premier Division with a thumping 7-2 win at Allerton in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League.

Bowling needed only eight minutes to open the scoring with a Chris Wood free-kick after Glyn Hirst was brought down.

They increased the lead four minutes later through Josh Milner, who then fed Wood to cross for Andrew Kenyon to make it three.

Wood continued the first-half onslaught by chipping the fourth from outside the box.

Allerton tried to tighten up at the break but fell further behind after 65 minutes, man-of-the-match Milner lashing in an unstoppable left-foot shot.

Milner had another assist for leading scorer Hirst before Allerton pulled a couple back through Tion Richards and Brendan Maltby.

But Bowling were not finished and rounded off the scoring with another decisive finish by Nathan Woodward.

Bowling lead Oakenshaw on goal difference after previous pace-setters Thornbury Celtic's 100 per cent record was blown away with a 5-0 loss to Sandy Lane.
